On June 5, World Environment Day, the Kautilya Recreation Club, NTPC Barh, held a "Best Out of Waste" Competition. The event saw great participation from township residents, with 12 teams and 36 participants participating. The event was graced by the presence of Smt Sangeeta Goel, President, Mandakini Club. The judges, including Sh Deepak Ranjan Dehuri, CGM O&M, Sh Amitabha Bhaumik, GM Opn, Sh Sukhmoy Roy GM Maint, Sh Surjeet Bahadur Singh GM Project, Sh Uttam Mukherjee, AGM IT and Sh Charanjit Kumar, AGM HR evaluated the innovative products made by the participants, encouraging creative thinking and waste reduction.

This event was part of the broader celebrations of World Environment Day, which aimed to promote sustainable practices and environmental awareness. The day saw various initiatives, including awareness programs, competitions, and community events, all focused on promoting a healthier and more sustainable environment.
